was born on August 2 to Helen and Frederick Sommer in Newark, New Jersey. He was a
devoted husband to the love of his life, Camille, for over 59 years and a loving father,
grandfather and friend to many people.
Fred was a professional engineer for close to 40 years and retired after a long career with Johnson & Johnson. He was a passionate golfer who also enjoyed traveling the world with Camille and savoring fine wines.
He is survived by his loving son, Frederick III and daughter-in-law Suzanne, his loving
daughter Deborah Seese and son-in-law Michael Seese, and cherished grandchildren
Angelena, Kaitlyn, Will, Ryan and Grace.
The family respectfully requests donations be made in Fred’s name to his preferred charities: the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
A mass will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 10300 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, FL 33498. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at Positano’s Restaurant, 4400 N Federal Highway Suite #190, Boca Raton, FL 33431.
