Elizabeth S Grieco

Elizabeth is survived by her three children: Victor Gregory Grieco and his wife Mary Kay, of Wellington,

FL, Joseph Ruppen and his wife Nina Marcoux Grieco, along with Elizabeth’s grandchildren, Gavin Joseph

Grieco and Galen Louise Grieco of Southlake, TX, and Alexander Marc Grieco of Boca Raton, FL.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Sharougian, her father, Ruppen Sharougian, and her

sister, Violet Soghomonian.

Elizabeth was born on August 25, 1933, in Hartford, CT to parents Ruppen and Rose Sharougian.

Elizabeth (Betty) graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford, CT in 1951. She later married a

classmate, Joseph Donald Grieco, and the couple raised three very active boys together, Victor Gregory,

Joseph Ruppen, and Alexander Marc.

Those that knew her and enjoyed her company require no summation of Betty’s most endearing

features. While some will recall the nails always manicured to perfection, others will remember

perfectly coiffed hair and attire that hinted at an expensive night out. Some will note the ever-present

cigarette and cup of coffee (lipstick on both), while others will fondly recall long discussions about life,

learning, maturing, and being good to yourself and to others.

Not a photograph of Betty exists in which she does not have an arm around someone she cared about.

Often it was her three boys, but she did not spare a hug, a kiss, or an “I love you” with the extended

group of friends that she considered family (IYKYK!)

Betty requested (ordered) that no ceremony be held to commemorate her passing. Rather, the family

asks that you celebrate her joy-filled life with a memory of how Betty’s life impacted theirs.
