SAFFRAN, Dorothy Rood, of Boca Raton, passed away peacefully, March 6, 2016, at home. Predeceased by husband, H. William Saffran. Survived by children, William A. (Patricia) Saffran of New York City, Nancy (Larry) Cook of Vero Beach and Michael Saffran of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, David and Jacob Cook; sister, Mary Lou Rood of Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law, nephew, nieces and cousins. She was a retired Registered Nurse. Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. March 18 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 S.W. 3rd St., Boca Raton. Committal service and interment, March 26, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc Food Pantry, 490 S.W. 4th Ave., Boca Raton, FL 33432.
