Denise E McClay

She is survived by her son Dylan, her daughter Nikki, her mother Mary Ann Kondras, siblings Christine Roberts, Kevin McGrath, Brian McGrath, Karen Bauer, James McGrath, sisters-in-law Lorraine McGrath, Diane McGrath, Melissa McClay, brother-in-law Gordie McClay and father-in-law Gordon McClay. Also, a multitude of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who became family, along with beloved two dogs named Tommy and Gigi. Laurie Rizzo, Andrea Tematore, Rocco Mangel and Karl Alterman require mention.  She is predeceased by her husband Allan McClay, her son TJ McClay, her father Thomas J. McGrath, her brother Thomas C. McGrath and mother-in-law Martha McClay.

She surrendered with unmatched dignity to cancer, being held by her adoring children and surrounded by loved ones. She was a force of nature and iconic in the restaurant scene of Boca and Delray where she was employed for forty years. If she served you a drink you would want to return. If you returned you received the gift of friendship. That was simply part of the transaction. She loved Christmas, The Sound of Music, dogs, the Panthers, books, movies, theater, the beach, but most of all people. She cherished her family and friends. Her absolute most favorite things Dylan and Nikki stood alone. She made a mean margherita, a sought after lemon chicken and a difference in every life she encountered. She made us proud. Her razor sharp wit could result in the need for medical attention. Laughter was one of her most eloquent love languages. Denise's imprint will be indelible and her influence long lasting. She will never be forgotten and always be missed.

Please join us to memorialize and celebrate the life of this remarkable and incomparable human being. A service is being held on March 27,2025 at Babione-Kraaer Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 at 1100 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton.
