I will forever be grateful for that math class that gave me the pleasure of getting to meet you. I never knew how special you would be to me. There wasn’t a single day that would pass by that we wouldn’t talk. We were each other’s confidants and in my heart will forever live those memories that are so special. You never ever let me open a car door. All of the times you tried to teach me how to drive and how patient and understanding you were with me. You singing out of the top of your lungs in the car. You were the perfect gentleman.Every Sunday we would talk on the phone to catch up on our weekly events. 

Anyone that has had the pleasure of meeting you will always be blessed to have been touched by your happiness and light. You were always smiling that smile that brighten up a room. I miss you so much but thank you for being such an amazing friend for the past 6 years. You will always have a place in my heart. I will always appreciate everything you did for me. Cody wrote this song when he was 15. I kept it all these years. He was wise beyond his years! 

Demons

This song is referring to what humans can be like, some of these are demons, greedy, and cold. He adds lots of emotion that make the song powerful and because of that we know he’s serious of what people have become heartless people that need to know there place in life and be over others just to hurt them but to love them and care for them.
Some metaphors in the song are, saints are made of gold, demons hide, your eyes shine so bright, and hell bound.
The person in this song wants you to think about people and how they think, act, and how they do it in a cruel way. He wants you to think how you act in the inside also how you affect people the same way you or someone else hurts each other.
I think he chose to sing about this song because he most likely did it to someone or someone else did it to him. He might have also thought it was important to know yourself and so you can become a better person. There’s also a chance that he wanted for fame but there is so much compassion put into the song that the real reason should be that he needs to speak his mind that he cares and does try not to hate.

One of the strongest people I know. The only person in our class to join the Marines because you “wanted a challenge” and boy did you get one. Always proud of you for pushing yourself no matter how hard things were. You never took the easy way out and did what you wanted, when you wanted. You will truly be missed. Until we meet again, rest in paradise.

I will never forget how hard you were on yourself to condition for boot camp. Every Tuesday and Thursday you had P.T. and Still did something on the other days. I was proud to see how proud you were of yourself. You will be terribley missed kiddo. Check on your Momma from time to time,. She'll know it's you.!❣️!

My True definition of a Gentleman. I think you were born with it in your heart. I toss and turn in several sleepless nights in disbelief,.. because you truly left a mark on many hearts. And your legend will continue inside all of us, Kiddo. I Love ya,.. Cody,. .  . Until we meet again.

We are so very sad to announce the passing of our son, Cody William Brand. He tragically passed away at the age of 21 on Valentine's Day (02/14/23). Cody suffered a unsurvivable brain injury while skateboarding in the mountains of North Carolina. 

Cody was nearing the end of his 4-year Marine career as a Corporal and was looking forward to starting college soon after. He will be recognized with full military honors by the esteemed US Marines Corps.   
 
Words cannot begin to describe what a great and tragic loss this is for his family and friends. He was the most incredible son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and soon to be uncle that anyone could ever ask for. His love, laughter, and kindness will be missed dearly! WE LOVE YOU KIDDO!! 

Cody is followed by his mother, Crystal "Gayle" Brand, his father, Joel Brand and his brother, Anthony Brand of Boynton Beach & Delray Beach, Florida. 

My favorite little carrot top. You will be forever missed, comrade. I cannot wait for us to cross paths once again. Your goofy laughs, jokes, and gags you got me will always be treasured and I’ll forever hold you in my heart, bud. Rest easy and till we meet again (: ❤️

Long-boarding trip to DC. He loved visiting new places, seeing and experiencing new things. He was simply living life to the fullest.
