Assunta Merola was born in Italy on April 22, 1923 to Michele and Vittoria DiCicco. She worked hard for a children's foundation as a housekeeper. Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Concetta (Jose) Zabala and Victoria (Carmine) Lupacchino; and her son, Robert Merola. Her grandchildren, Monica Dipolito, Silvia Roy, Gabriella Lupacchino, Assunta Merola, Anthony Merola, Serafina Merola, Roberto Merola; and great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Christian, Sara-Jessica, and Nicholas are left to cherish her memory. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 3-7PM at Babione Funeral Home, West Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Queen of Peace Mission Catholic Church, Delray Beach, with burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale.
