Ann Hathaway Davis Spears 84 of Boca Raton died on April 11, 2012 after a brief illness. Born December 1, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to the late Charles Phillips Davis and the late Mary Helen Hathaway Davis. Surviving are her two daughters, Jan (Ken) Brown, Susie (Roby) Denman of Boca Raton; four grandchildren, Clint Stevens of Boca Raton, Christi (Billy) Stevens Gray of Delray Beach, Nick Brown and Eric Brown both of Boca Raton; and her companion of 18 years Carl Peterson of Coral Springs. Ann was married to the late James A Spears who died in 1974.
She volunteered her time and many talents to the Debbie Ran Memorial Service League, Center for Group Counseling, The Humanitarian Society, The Morikami Museum, and many other non-profit organizations. Ann was a kind and giving person able to see the good in all things and people. She was appreciated for her ability to make everyone feel special and as someone who always put other people's feelings first. Rarely seen without a smile on her face. Ann loved to travel, read, dance and enjoyed art and music.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30am, Sunday April 15 at the Babione Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Hospice by the Sea, 1531 W Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33432 (561-395-5031) or to the charity of your choice.
