Don was born on October 1st, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Frances Petrella. He was the middle of three brothers. After graduating high school, Don served in the military for the US Army. After his service, he spent most of his working life with Conrail Railroad. His favorite hobbies included gambling at the casino and racetrack, and spending time with family. He faithfully talked with his mother every day and visited her at St. John Neumann Nursing Home frequently.
Don is survived by his 101 year old mother, Frances Petrella; son, Donald Joseph (Christine) Petrella;
Two grandsons, Donald Patrick Petrella (20) and Nicholas Michael Petrella (16); and brother, Robert (Gerri) Petrella.
Don was predeceased by his father, Joseph Petrella; and brother, Joseph Petrella.
No memorial service at this time due to the Corona Virus situation.
