Wilma G. Goodman

Wilma Genia Goodman passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at IU Hospice House. She was born on July 17th, 1930 in Indian Creek Township to Willis and Mildred Chambers. Wilma married her beloved husband, Ralph Goodman, on July 30th, 1949. They were married for 46 years until Ralph’s death in 1995.

Survivors include her four children, Harold “Gene” (Debbie) Goodman, Dennis Goodman, Marilyn (Rusty) Sciscoe, and Evelyn Goodman; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and a brother, Marvin Chambers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mildred; her husband, Ralph; her brothers Willard Chambers and Julius “Jack” Chambers; and her sister, Deloris Bunch.

Wilma enjoyed reading, caring for flowers, gardening, cooking, and canning. She always kept busy and cared deeply for her family. She was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30th, 2023 from 4-8pm at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home (4150 E. 3rd Street Bloomington, IN 47401). The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at 1pm at Day and Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Colgan officiating.
