Wilma L. Axsom

Wilma L. Axsom, 96, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. She was born January 13, 1927 in Bloomington to Harvey Harlow and Ella Hacker Harlow. She was retired from Westinghouse.

Survivors include her three sons, Ralph Axsom, Jr. and his wife Patty, Gary Axsom, and Tom Axsom and his wife Nancy; her step daughter, Carol Ferguson; eight grandchildren, Brian Keith Axsom, Todd Axsom, Brian Lee Axsom, Megan Axsom, Scott Osborne, Robin Sullivan, Chad Osborne, and Charles Osborne; and many other beloved extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 79 years, Ralph Axsom; her son, Steve Axsom; daughter-in-law, Myra Axsom; a sister, Delores McGlothlin; and two brothers, Robert Harlow and Herman Harlow.

Wilma was of the Nazarene Faith, she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and making sure her family and any visitors were fed.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
