William “Bill” Alan Hughes, 68, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at McCormicks Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born April 24, 1954 in Bloomington to Lawson Hill Hughes, Jr. and Mildred Joan Simmons Hughes.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon Hughes of Bloomington; a brother, Dale Hughes of Bloomington; two nieces, Amber (Joshua) Hendrickson and April (Anthony Newton) Thomas; two great nephews, Colton and Caleb Newton; a great niece, Ella Hendrickson; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was an avid numismatist, enjoyed spending time with his family, was a lover of baseball and bird watching, was an artist, musician and an award winning photographer.
