Vicki Lynn Uland

Vicki Lynn Uland, age 69, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence. Born November 16, 1948 in Oakland, California, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Earldean (Hinkle) Nikirk. She was currently an administrative assistant and Corps member of the Van Buren Township Fire Department, a job she dearly loved. She had formerly worked at R.C.A. and retired from G.E. She was an avid golfer and loved to do flower arranging.

Vicki is survived by her mother, Earldean Nikirk, of Bloomington; two daughters and son-in-law, Angela and Chad Hobson, of Greenwood and Kristina Uland, of Indianapolis, her step-daughter, Kim Uland, of Solsberry, her fiancé, John Wilson, of Bloomington, her sister, Susie Deckard-Arsenault, of Bloomington, two granddaughters, Emily N. Hobson and Ella N. Hobson, one niece, Shari Reagan, of Bloomington and three great-nieces, Jaimee Burris, Stephanie Verteramo and Zoe Verteramo.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, M. Leon Uland, two daughters in infancy, Lana Lynn and Dena Jo and one nephew, Robert A. Nunn.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Ed Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Indiana. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Van Buren Township Volunteer Fire Dept.
