Steve was preceded in death by Rubye Mozelle Jackson (mother) and Hilton Dare Jackson (father), and is survived by Craig Jackson (son), Lucille Jackson Mackey (daughter), Mark Jackson (brother), Lisa Patmore (sister), Meighan Scott-Jackson (daughter-in-law), Chris Mackey (son-in-law), five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and three granddogs.
As a native of Paducah, KY, Steve had a long career as a litigator, and was respected and loved by his peers. He was passionate about sunbathing, gardening, homemaking, cooking and baking, and rabbits.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held in Steve’s honor from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, July 27th at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, Bloomington.
