Stephen Edward Weber, Sr., 67, of Bloomfield died unexpectedly in his home Friday, January 22, 2021. He was born June 2, 1953 in Bloomington to Klaus Weber and Delores Arthur Weber. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of the Monroe County Airport.
Survivors include three daughters, Songchai Weber of Indianapolis, Heaven Williams of Bedford and Laura Graves Hillesheim of Wisconsin; a son, Richard Weber of Bloomington; a brother, Donald Weber of Bloomfield; a sister, Lisa (John) Tamewitz of Bloomington; fourteen grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Kyle, Christopher, Ryan, Isis, Nicholas, Chloe, Madison, Natalie, Ethan, Brooklyn, Ciarra, and Lydia; four great grandchildren, Trinity, Maverick, James and Noah; his best friend, David Wood; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Edward Weber, Jr.; and a brother, Lester Johnson.
Stephen was a member of Pentecostal Faith Assembly in Bloomington and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out with his lifelong friend David, building things for his grandchildren, playing his guitar and harmonica and tending to his dogs.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in the Pentecostal Faith Assembly, 1301 W 11th St. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday also in the church with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating; burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery in Brown County where Military Honors will be given by the Monroe County Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
