Stephen Lee Hammock

Stephen Lee Hammock, 75, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was born April 5, 1948 in Bloomington, IN the son of the late David Hammock and William & Charlotte (McGlothlin) Adams.

Stephen was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He retired as an IT Specialist from Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. He was in the Army National Guard. Stephen enjoyed bowling, roller-skating, dancing, karaoke, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Irene Hammock; his son, Troy Hammock and his wife Gaylan; two brothers, Mike Hammock and his wife Becky and Mark Adams and his wife Margaret; a sister, Suzanne Young; his Aunt Betty; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, officiated by Father Thomas Kovatch. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street.
