Sharon Kay Wells, 77, of Bloomington, Indiana, died Sunday evening in Hospice House. The youngest of seven children, she was born September 15, 1936 in Spencer, IN to Ross Chambers and Lucille Neiswinger Chambers. Sharon was retired from the I.U. Halls of residence but her strong work ethic wouldn’t let her sit at home so she went back to work first for I.U. and then the Monroe County Community School Corporation. The other love in her life was animals and she never picked a pet, they always picked her.
Survivors include a son, Mark Wells and his wife Gay of Indianapolis; two daughters, Janice Roberts and her husband Phil and Brenda Wells all of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Jennifer Conrad and her husband Peter of Rochester, MN, Seth Wells and his wife Alicia of Camby and Evan Wells of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Eben Conrad and Abby Wells; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Jeffrey Wells who died in infancy; and a great-grandson, Bentley Malachi Wells.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, burial will follow in Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services, Wednesday October 2, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
