Scott Bradley Borden, age 51, of Bloomington, died Friday evening at his residence. Born December 25, 1960, he was the son of Robert and Barbara (Vowell) Borden. He was a restaurant waiter at Puccini’s in Bloomington. He loved to shop and work with flower gardening. He also was a volunteer counselor at the Recovery Engagement Center in Bloomington. He attended Bloomington High School North. He dearly loved his family and friends, especially his dearest friend, Sanae.
He is survived by his parents of Bloomington; his sister and brother-in-law, Shanna Renee and Mike Fisher of Owen County; two nieces and her fiance, Sarah Fisher and her fiance Chris Gunn and Tracy Robb; two nephews, Josiah and his wife, Sunshine Fisher and Jeremy
Robb; and three great-nieces, Kiley Fisher, of whom he especially adored, Madison Gunn and Kilee Robb.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Martha (Henson) Borden and William and Laura (Andis) Vowell.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel, with Rev. Doug Carter officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests to friends who wish that memorial contributions be given to the Recovery Engagement Center, 221 N. Rogers St., Bloomington, IN 47404.
