Robert Hoy Johnson

Robert H. Johnson of Bloomington, passed away in Golden Living Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Robert was a lifelong resident of Bloomington, graduating from Bloomington High School in 1951.

He was the son of Hoy and Laura Headley Johnson.

Robert married Martha Rowlett on October 31, 1956. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2008. Robert then married Sharon Deckard in November of 2009 and she survives.

Robert was a US Navy veteran from 1951-1955. In his leisure time he enjoyed the outdoors and watching sports.

He is survived by his son Gregory Robert Hoy Johnson, two daughters; Anna Marie(husband Robert)Krause and Jennifer Jill (husband Bud)May. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Greta and Betsy Krause and Ryan(wife Anna) and Sadie May, three step-children; Cheryl Mobley, Jackie Deckard and J.R. Deckard.

Friends may call on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401. Burial will be held on Monday in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
