Ray was a lifetime member of Hindustan Christian Church. He was a World War II Army Veteran, and a member of the Bloomington Fraternal Order of Police. He retired from J & S Locksmith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Neal; a daughter, Patty (Frank) Grever; a son, Rick (Rita) Neal; a sister, Maneacy Landstrom; daughter-in-law, Karen Neal; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Bailey; a son, Buddy Neal; and six siblings, Ethel, Barbara, Dorothy, Mary, Harold, and Thomas.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bill Roe. Interment will follow at Hindustan Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel.
