Patsy S. Sparks Gilliland

Patsy S. Gilliland, age 83, of Bloomington, died Tuesday afternoon at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born December 23, 1931 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Warren and Claire (Stevens) Sparks. She retired from Indiana University in 1995 where she was a secretary in the Internal Audit Department. She was a graduate of Bloomington High School, a member of the Bloomington V.F.W. and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries and a lifetime member of the Murat Shrine.

She is survived by her daughter, Shelley K. Wells, of Bloomington; her son, William Lee Robinson, of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Bradley Stephen Robinson, Mitchell Andrew Robinson and Matthew Robert Wells; one great-granddaughter, Gracie Rae Wells and one sister, Peggy Juanita Somes, of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Eugene Robinson, second husband, John Sater, third husband, Dale Gilliland and one sister, Judith Gough.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Valhalla Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
