Norma Jean(Blake) Hacker of Bloomington, passed away quietly in IU Health Hospital Surrounded by her loving family, on November 1, 2014. She was born to the late Harley Francis and Mary Jane(Davis)Blake on May 28, 1934 in Monroe County. She was 80 years old.
Norma married Donald Hacker in Bloomington on July 28, 1951. She was a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She and her husband Donald were the founding pastors of the Oldtime Apostolic Church in Solsberry, IN which just celebrated their 17th anniversary on November 2, 2014.
Norma is survived by her loving husband Donald, three daughters: Patricia(Chester)Adams, Donetta(Bill)French, Catherine(Perry)Butcher, two sisters: Bertha Andis and Helen Southern, one brother: Eugene Blake and one step-sister: Gladys Lewis, three sisters-in-law: Gladys Blake, Dorothy Blake and Barb Blake, six grandchildren: Travis(Valerie)French, Jason Adams, Tara(Chuck) Neideffer, Chad(Amanda)Butcher, Justin Butcher and Vanessa(Eli)Stout, six great-grandchildren: Siera Kelley, Jack Adams, Taylor French, Adam Stout, Matthew Stout, Ashlyn Butcher and Brandon Neideffer.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her son Donald Ray Hacker and three brothers: Lloyd Blake, Hubert Blake, and Kenneth Blake, three sisters: Geneva Andis, Ruth Ann Russell and Judy Nichols.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene &Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also in the funeral home, officiated by Pastors Michael Douglas and Don Gardner. Burial will be in Paragon, IN.
