Norma Helen Cox, age 92, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care Center. Born April 28, 1930 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of William Hall and Viola (Carwell) Steward. Norma had worked in assembly at the Bloomington R.C.A. manufacturing facility. She enjoyed square dancing, picnicking, driving and viewing the scenery, especially on long drives on Sundays. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and watching Western movies
Norma is survived by her four sons, Albert Cox, Wyatt B. Cox, of Bloomington, Jason (Tricia) Cox, of Bloomington and Wendell Cox, of Bloomington, her daughter, Pauline Cox, of Florida; three grandchildren, Nicole Cox, Jacob Cox and Clifford Cox and two great-grandchildren, Gracie Cox and Elizabeth Cox.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew Basil Cox; three brothers, Weir, George, and Richard; three sisters, Dorothy, Julia, and Glodene and one granddaughter, Michaela Cox.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
