Mildred Elizabeth Crain Williams

Mildred Elizabeth Crain Williams, age 93, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana, died Tuesday morning at McKendree Village in Hermitage. Born May 27, 1921 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Samuel Ray and Lula (Perry) Crain. Mildred graduated from Bloomington High School, class of 1938, and enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed serving as a Pink Lady at Bloomington Hospital, dancing to Big Band music and playing Bridge and Euchre. She formerly was employed by RCA and as a secretary at Rogers Elementary School and Bloomington High School. She was a long-standing member of the First Christian Church and a life member of Alpha Delta Omega social sorority.

She is survived by her one sister, Mary Louise Smith, of Stanford, Indiana; her two daughters, Beverly Ann Williams (J.W.) Huff, of Franklin, Tennessee and Teresa Lou Williams (Gregory) Milan, of Hermitage, Tennessee; six grandchildren; Jennifer Ann (Steve) Roy, Alison Lee Huff, Jessica Anne (Jeffrey) Rowbottom, Andrea Lynne Huff, Katherine Julia (Daniel) Worley, and Christopher Joseph (Amanda) Milan, and six great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Jacob Roy, Kaila Rowbottom, David, Kimberly, and Annabelle Milan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald Eugene Williams and her three brothers, Stanley Ray Crain of Petaluma, California, Louis Winfield Crain of Indianapolis, Indiana and Paul Crain of Monroe County, Indiana.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. The funeral service will held at 4:00 P.M. Friday at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Rev. Roger Heimer officiating.
