Michael "Mike" Earl McPike

Michael Earl “Mike” McPike, 74 of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. He was born September 9, 1946 in Monroe County, Indiana the son of the late Clyde and Barbara Summitt McPike. Mike was the owner and operator of McPike Siding Company which he started in 1986. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the AM Vets. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, euchre, NASCAR, archery, motorcycle hill climbing, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lana Jo McPike; his two sons, Shawn McPike and his wife Donda and Bradley McPike and his wife Shannon; six grandchildren, Michael Shawn McPike and his wife Amanda, Amber Hawkins and her husband John, K.C. Hinson and her fiancée James Hardin, Heather Thomas and her husband Monty, Brandi Bouge and her husband John, and Kyle McPike; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack and Ollie McPike. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary. Interment will follow at Allens Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 and on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary.
