Margaret “Annice” Henry, 67 of Bloomington died Monday, March 20, 2017 in her home. She was born March 22, 1949 in Bloomington to John M. Lucas and Sarah E. Jones Lucas. She was retired from General Electric in Bloomington.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Paul Henry of Solsberry; two daughters, Sarah (Robert) Morrow and Kathy Grubbs both of Bloomington; three sisters, Frances Wampler, Linda (Hubert) Belden and Betty May; a brother, Lee (Georgia) Lucas; six grandchildren, Kristen, Taylor, Zayden, Kaysen, Christopher and Augustus; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Grubbs, Jr.; three brothers, John “Bill” Lucas, Jim Lucas and Lester Lucas; and a sister, Barbara Carter.
Memberships include the Whitehall Wesleyan Church, the Women of the Moose Lodge #2482 in Spencer, the American Legion Post 285 Ladies Auxiliary in Spencer and the VFW Post 1405 Ladies Auxiliary in Spencer. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday March 23, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W Gourley Pike. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Don Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Chapel Cemetery.
