Linda Lou (Hash) Williams

Linda Lou Williams of Cocoa FL passed away on Aug 22, 2023 at the age of 80. Linda was born Linda Lou Hash in Bloomington IN. She grew up in Bloomington and attended Unionville schools and Bloomington High School. Linda lived for many years in Casa Grande, AZ and Cocoa, FL. Linda owned a cleaning service for many years. She also managed The Village Inn motel in Ellettsville IN, drove a shuttle bus for Bloomington Hospital, and worked as a receptionist for Monroe Hospital until she retired.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Stanley “Lee” Williams, parents Albert D. and Ethel M. (Nottingham) Hash-Richardson; one sister Wilma A. Walker; and brothers Vernon J. and Jackie L. Hash.

She is survived by daughter Vickie Crowe and husband Sam of Bloomfield, IN; son Bill Hobbs and wife LynDora of Bloomington, IN; son Lee Hobbs and wife Shelly of Mitchell, IN; daughter Julie Dieken and husband Johann of Rockledge, FL; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Linda’s life was devoted to her faith and family. She was affiliated with Sanders Pentecostal Church in Bloomington, IN, Eloy Pentecostal Church in Eloy, AZ, and Grace Tabernacle in Orleans, IN. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Bible study, cooking, crafting and exploring nature.

The family would like to thank Vitas Inpatient Hospice Center, Health First and Advent Health physicians and staff for the care and compassion they showed our loved one through her illness and in her final days.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home 4150 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401. The family will receive friends prior from Noon to 2:00 p.m.
