Linda Sue Gaston, age 58, of Bloomington, died Friday evening at her residence. Born September 11, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of James Harvey Hawkins and Lillie Pearl (Hodge) Hawkins. She loved shopping, raising flowers and vegetables in her garden, fishing and generally just making those around her happy with her bubbly personality. She was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her companion and significant other of 20 years, Bernie Long, of Bloomington; her son, Kevin Lee Warren, of Elyria, Ohio; four sisters, Rita Allen, of Bloomington, Flora McKinley, of Evansville, Joyce Hawkins, of Gosport, Indiana, and Wilda Warren, of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Josephine Hawkins, of Stanford, Indiana and Kenneth and Dayle Hawkins, of Owensburg, Indiana; one granddaughter, Kaylee Warren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Wilma Hawkins, Ruby Hawkins, Sharon Rude and Velva Hall and two brothers, Willard Hawkins and James, Hawkins, Jr.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. Don Hays officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 12 Noon until 1:00 P.M.
