Larry Herman Terrell

He was born September 21, 1941 in Henryville, Indiana to Paul E. and Marie Augusta (Petmecky) Terrell.

Larry served in the Army before spending his career at Westinghouse/ABB in Bloomington, Indiana.

Larry lived his life with wonder, curiosity, humor, and resiliency! He shared his passion for animals and nature with his family and friends throughout his life, was a self-taught amateur pianist, loved literature and reading, was an avid storyteller, and loved spending time with family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna M. Terrell, twin brother Gary H. Terrell, and brother Nelson B. Terrell.Larry is survived by his long-time partner Rick Shipley; his children Leanne (Tommy) Smith and Karl Terrell; grandchildren Preston Williams, Nikki Smith, Christie (John) Baxter and Sara Terrell; great grandchildren Creighton and Colton; as well as siblings Judith K. (Jim) Day, Tony Terrell, and Pamela (Andy) Peek; and sister-in-laws Marsha Chambers and Joyce Terrell. Extended family Barbara Shipley and her children Charles, Ailish, Kieran and Rory.

Larry will be laid to rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, Indiana. No services are planned though the family plans to have a Celebration of Life in nature later this year.

The family wishes to thank Hospice, Area 10 Agency on Aging, Elder Care and Pam Todd for her compassion and kindness she gave while taking care of Larry.
