Kenneth Eugene Goble, age 91, of Bloomington, died Saturday at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. Born December 3, 1920 in Monroe County, he was the son of Carl Milton and Opal Georgia (Fulford) Goble. He retired from R.C.A. after 40 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and working in his garden. He dearly loved spending time with family and was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Allison Goble, of Columbus, Indiana; two daughters and one son-in-law, Rhea and Morris Deckard, of Bloomington and Nancy Mashke, of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren, Todd Goble, of Columbus, Eric Goble, of Columbus, Roger Burton, of Ashland, Ohio, Greg Burton, of Bloomington, David Mower, of Peoria, Illinois and Alison Thrall, of Sarasota, Florida, ten great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty Goble, of Bloomington and one brother-in-law, Robert Hamm, of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Emma (Gill) Goble and three sisters, Pauline Mitchner, Coleen Morran and Evelyn Hamm and one brother, Wayne Goble.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Veterans Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
