Karen Sue Sexton, age 52, of Bloomington, died Saturday evening at her residence. Born June 4, 1960 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Harvey and Caroline (Jolliff) Jacobs. She loved R.V. camping and had attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Rick D. Sexton, of Bloomington; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Joe Neal, of Bedford; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Stacy Sexton, of Bloomington; her father, Harvey Jacobs, of Bloomington, her mother, Caroline Shields, of Bloomington; one brother, Russell Jacobs, of Bloomington; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Terry Jacobs, Jan and Gary Whaley and Jill and Mark Vincent, all of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Dakota and Dallas Neal and Brendan and Madeline Sexton, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Merle and Edith Jacobs and maternal grandmother, Martha Watkins.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. James Barr officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society.
