Jeffrey L. Scott

Jeffrey L. Scott, age 74, of Bloomington passed away Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 at the Stonecroft Health Campus in Bloomington. Born October 13, 1946 in Bloomington, he was the son of Floyd and Sylvia (Myers) Scott. Jeffrey was the owner of Scott’s Termite and Pest Control for 43 years. He was a former member of the American Legion. Jeffrey loved any kind of racing, especially drag racing and NASCAR. He also enjoyed restoring cars with his brother, Larry.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca “Becky” J. (Lamb) Scott, of Bloomington; his four children, Kelly Lambe (Tom Burch), of Bloomington, Tonya Figg (Mike Deckard), of Heltonville, Rob Scott (Tina), of Bloomington and Jinni Shields (Troy), of Springville; seven grandchildren, Kelby Lambe (Becca), of Bloomington, Riley Figg (Amelia Herrick), of Bloomington, Hannah Shields (Jayce Rodrick), of Springville, Chase Shields (Piper Watson), of Springville and Collier Lambe, Jaxon Scott and Landen Scott, all of Bloomington, one brother, Larry Dean Scott, of Bloomington and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ellen and Donald Moore, of Bloomington and Chris and Stacy Lamb, of Bloomington.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Scott.

There will be a visitation limited to 25 people at a time at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St. on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
