Jimmy was an Army Persian Gulf War Veteran. He was a journeyman in the Bricklayers Union. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he will be deeply missed.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Joann Covey East; his father, James Michael Deckard, Sr.; his three brothers, Rob (Liz) Covey, Danny (Val) Mobley, and Richard “Bub” Mobley; and many other beloved family members.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery where the Veterans Honor Guard will have military rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third Street in Bloomington.
