James William Diana, age 89, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. Born March 1, 1936 in Gloversville, New York, he was the son of Calogero and Concetta (Megna) Diana. James received his Master’s degree in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and his PhD in Educational Counseling from Indiana University. He retired as a guidance counselor from Bloomington High School North. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
James is survived by his former wife, Mary “Betsy” Teague, of Bloomington, whom he married on September 5, 1959, his sister, Mary Riccardi, of Staten Island, New York and his step-daughter, Gloria Thompson, of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Diana and Sam Diana.
There will be no services or visitation held for James.
