Irene Bays Spears

Irene Spears, 74, of Bloomington passed away Thursday February 17, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington. She was born December 19, 1936 to Edgar D. and Allie (Harper) Bays in Greene County, IN. She was a housewife and a member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly Church in Bloomington.

She is survived by her Mother: Allie Ritter, Three Sons: David Sexton of Spencer , Rick & Karen Sexton of Bloomington, Brian and Mary Sexton of Bloomington, one Daughter: Tammy White of Bloomington, 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, one Sister: Sharon Wright of Bloomington, two half sisters: Sandy Ritter of Ellettsville and Violet Ritter of Bloomington, three step Sons: Gene and David Spears both of Bloomington and Don Spears of Columbus, one step Daughter: Shirley Gauldin of Ellettsville.

She was proceeded in death by her Father, her first Husband: Kenny Sexton, her second Husband: Max Spears, a step Daughter: Bonita Davis, a half Brother: Tony Ritter and a step Grandson: Chuck Spears.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM Sunday February 20, 2011 at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel. And one hour prior to the service on Monday. The service will be on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Mortuary, with Pastor Thomas Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
