Donald Lewis "Mox" Moxley

Donald Lewis "Mox" Moxley, age 66, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at I.U. Health: Bloomington Hospital. Born April 11, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Daniel and Gloria (Gayle) Moxley. He was the store manager at Sears in College Mall. He grew up in Cincinnati and was a retired police officer from the village of Woodlawn, Ohio, formerly serving in the village of Lincoln Heights, Ohio. He loved nature, yard work, and cooking for and entertaining his multitude of family and friends. He was an excellent father and served as an excellent father figure to many young people as well. He received a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Gammon, of Bloominngton; three sons, Deandre Moxley, Derrick Moxley and Troshawn (Robin) Moxley; two daughters; Ayrika (Francis) Fernandes and Te’Lesha Moxley; one sister, Glowdana Smith, nine grandchildren, Tevin, Adrianna, Amberly, Angelina, Brenton, Ashton, Kierston, Auston, and Triston and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Moxley, in infancy.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, at Day Funeral Home in Bloomington with Pastor Anthony Parrish officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M.at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
