Dawnish M. Warren, 58, of Bloomington died at I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital on Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was born October 9, 1962 in Kabul, Afghanistan to Mohammad Ali Mardanzai and Kubra Younus. On May 16, 1987, she married Louis Warren and he survives. She was a nurse at Bloomington Hospital for many years. Other survivors include daughter Sara Elizabeth Warren of Nashville, TN; son Matthew Louis Warren of Bloomington; brother Ali Mardanzai of Greenwood IN; and sisters Sara Ali, Parwin Farzad, Nasrin Aslami all of Bloomington; and Sidika Mardanzai of London, UK. And 8 nieces, 14 nephews, and 30 cousins. Dawnish was preceded in death by her parents Mohammed Ali and Kubra Mardanzai; and sister Asiah Yaqubi of Vancouver, BC.
Dawnish was a member of North Central Church of Christ. She was a nurse, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed traveling, nature photography, cooking and baking. Food was her love language! She made a custom cake for her own wedding and skillfully sewed her own wedding gown. She had a servant’s heart and was always looking for ways to reach out to help and support others.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at North Central Church of Christ, 2121 North Dunn Street in Bloomington. Private family services will be held on Thursday. There will be a public Celebration of Life tentatively planned for spring 2021.
