Colby Coe Nugent, 18, of Bloomington passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born December 10, 2002 in Bloomington to Heather Sample and Joseph Nugent. He was employed as a Technician with EDS.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Heather (Edward) Fitzgerald of Bloomington; his father and step mother, Joseph (Sarah) Nugent of Bloomington; a sister, Violet Mae Fitzgerald of Bloomington; his uncle, Chuck (Liza Perry) Sample of Bloomington; grandparents, Brian (Kay Olges) Sample, Jane (Tyler Fleming) Sample and John and Linda Fitzgerald; a great grandmother, Mae Richardson; two step sisters, Arianna and Fe Tellez; two cousins, Abby and Madison Sample; his girlfriend, Larue Connally; and a very large extended family. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Beverly BJ and R. K. Blankenfeld and Violet Pearl and Bernard Maurice Goodman.
Colby loved to play the guitar, he enjoyed playing pool, skateboarding, drawing, playing jokes and being the life of the party. His grandmother referred to him as the sweetest boy in the world and whenever she would say that everyone knew that Colby was there. He never had any ill will towards anyone and anyone he ever met he had an immediate impact on them.
There will be a Celebration of Colby’s Life at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
