Berkley Allan Whipple

Berkley Allan Whipple, 84, of Bloomington, IN and Georgetown, TX passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was born November 9, 1938 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was a retired Col. in the Army and served seven tours in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Dixon Whipple; son, Glenn Whipple and his wife Devon and their two children Gus Whipple and Lucy Whipple; son, Randy Whipple and his wife Beth and their two children Jessica Whipple and Ryan Whipple; a step- daughter Pam Kroskie, her husband Tim and sons, Ryan Kroskie Seth Richardson and Luke Richardson. He is also survived by two sisters Beverly O’Kelly and Glenda Carter.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Whipple and his parents Glenn H. And Leone Whipple, and one sister Patricia Whipple.

A graveside inurnment & military honors for Berkley will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Valhalla Memory Gardens, 310 N. Johnson Avenue in Bloomington, Indiana. Following the graveside inurnment & military honors there will be a time of visitation and reception at St. Mark's United Methodist Church from Noon to 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 100 Indiana 46, Bloomington, Indiana, officiated by Rev. Mary Beth Morgan.
