Anthony Ray Sipes

Anthony Ray Sipes, 52, of Bloomington died Thursday, April 16, 2020 in his home. He was born September 11, 1967 in Bloomington to Donald Ray Sipes and Ruth Ann (Powell) Sipes. He previously worked at General Electric. More recently he worked as a skilled craftsman performing a variety of household improvements and remodels. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sipes of Bloomington; his two children, Jessica (Zachary) Wellman and Anthony (Sarah) Sipes, Jr. all of Bloomington; a brother, Bill (Rachael) Sipes of Solsberry; six grandchildren, Dylan Wellman, Dalton Sipes, Lexi Brown, Colby Brown, Callie Beyers, and Mikel Beyers; two step daughters, Amy (Bobby) Duvall and Anna Brown both of Bloomington; and two nephews, Billy Sipes and Caleb Sipes both of Solsberry. He was preceded in death by his parents. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, and riding four-wheelers. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting squirrel, deer, turkey, and coyote. Anthony was quick to lend a hand to a friend in need and was always helping those around him. Private Graveside Services will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel.
