Cecil was born William Cecil Randall on July 23, 1923, to Oscar and Ida (Goodin) Randall in Drum, KY. He married Isabell Threlfall April 8, 1945. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2005.
Cecil is survived by his sons, Bill (Ina) Randall of Lakeland, FL, and Greg (Jane) Randall of Carlock; daughter Mary Ellen Tedford of Danvers; grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Randall of Chicago, Jessica (Bobby) Mills of Soddy-Daisy, TN, and Joseph Randall of Normal; one sister Betty (Jack) Lewis of Parker City, IN; sisters-in-law Shirley Dykes of Buckatunna, MS, and Maggie Randall of Parker City, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Hila Phelps, brothers Howard Randall, Ernest Randall, half-brother James “Buddy” Dykes, and son-in-law Glen Tedford.
Cecil worked for Unit 5 in the maintenance department for many years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of Danvers Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing what he grew with friends and neighbors.
Funeral service will be Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Pastor Bob Clark will officiate. A private entombment will take place in East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
