Our mother was loved; she lived her life with excellence. She was humble, true and had an open heart to strangers. Her beautiful smile and eyes that shone with laughter won the hearts of young and old. She believed that love was the greatest gift and honored God by "loving the sinner, but not the sin." She would be the reason you'd choose to be a Christian. Believing in one of her favorite verses Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged," carried her through life's journey.
Viola loved skating at Mackinaw Dell's Skating Rink, owned by her Uncle Ted. This is where she met the love of her life of 58 years. She couldn't skate on Wednesdays until she went to church. She was a leader of hometown band, homemaker, factory worker, farmer's wife, waitress and prayer warrior. She taught Sunday school, attended Bible Study Fellowship for eight years, she gave to Jews for Jesus and took mission trips to Missouri to help with Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Her spirit of love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Please make memorials in her honor to The American Heart Association or to Jews for Jesus. Thank you
