Shirley worked as a nurse’s aid for several decades after raising her family.
She enjoyed family activities, traveling, reading, gardening, birdwatching, and fishing.
She was a strong woman who survived almost any storm that came her way. She got it done when others couldn’t. She was in her own words “strong willed”-we called it stubborn.
She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters Vicki (Kevin) Tipsord and Sheila Geiselman Mitchell, and son Daniel Geiselman, 3 grandchildren, Andrea (Dustin) Nunamaker, Kristen Lenz, and Chelsea Tipsord, and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Geiselman, her son James Geiselman, her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A private graveside service and interment will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington, Il.
