Rosemary was born May 31, 1931, in Bloomington, the daughter of Glover and Bertha (Leigh) Swearingen.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Karen) Weaver of Bloomington; James (Christine McIntire) Weaver of Florida; Marcia Weaver of Bloomington; Micki (Dennis) Weaver – Spratt of Florida; Cari Shoger of Bloomington; a special great niece, LeeAnn (Jayson) Dodson of Florida; seven grandchildren, Kristi (Ron) Annegers of Normal; Jennifer Webb of South Carolina; Kerri Ann (Wayne Orrick) Lewis of Bloomington; Eric Shoger of Bloomington; Jamie (Creston) Delaney of Iowa; Jessica (Andy) Block of Wisconsin; and Amanda (Brackston) Combs of Bloomington; four step grandchildren, Jon Spratt; Lindsay Jones; Andrew Huhra; and Lindsay Sorrill;16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Swearingen of Bloomington and James Swearingen of Kewanee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Owen Weaver; three brothers; four sisters; and two great grandsons, Owen and John Michael.
Rosemary worked for General Telephone Company for 17 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Grace United Methodist Church in Bloomington. She was known to be a great cook. She also enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time with her grandkids. Family was always number one to her.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date at East Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BroMenn Hospice or to Heritage Health in Normal. Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com.
