He was born on February 5th, 1937 to Noble and Lucille (Vetter) Miller in Colfax, IL.
Richard is survived by his son, Stanley (Jean) Miller and his sisters: Joyce Ackley and Patricia Bayles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (Marshall) Miller his brother, Donald Miller; and by his parents.
Richard spent many years working for Meadow Gold Dairy and later in life as a security guard for East Land Mall in Bloomington, where he formed many cherished friendships.
He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed antiquing, woodworking, and bowling.
