Molly S. Grimwood

Molly S. Grimwood, 48, of Bloomington, passed away October 17, 2022. She was born April 17, 1974 in Bloomington to Lawrence and Susan (Alexander) McGuire. Molly graduated from Clinton High School and got an associate’s degree from Heartland Community College. She married the love of her life, Raymond Grimwood, on March 11, 1996.

Surviving are her loving husband of 26 years, Raymond; her children, Robert Matthew and Jacqueline Rose of Bloomington; mother Susan (Raymond) and Susan Jacobs McGuire (Lawrence) of Lexington. She was preceded in passing by her father, Lawrence McGuire (Susan), and her maternal/paternal grandparents.

Also surviving are her siblings, Sean Cisco, Misty (Steve) Lindell. Helen (Jeff) Sweeney; Josh Grimwood, Aaron (Kara) Grimwood, and Angel (Jeremy) Welch; and stepbrothers, Brett and Jeff Vogel. Molly also had many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved dearly.

Molly loved talking about going to Bora Bora, and when a nurse asked her where she would rather be than in the hospital, that was her answer. She loved her 'fur kids', Lady Bird, Mo, Scarlet and others they had over the years together. She liked to sit outside and visit with her sister-in-law Kara who lived next door, and she loved visiting with all her friends by email.

Molly and her family were avid Bears fans who loved to watch the games together, urging them along to victory. She had a wonderful laugh, a sparkling wit and a head full of beautiful red hair, your image of a typical Irish girl.There are so many things you could say about her, but she was just Molly - very special. Molly will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives, and anyone who knew her.

There will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
