Michael J Scornavacco Sr.

Michael J. Scornavacco Sr., 65, of Normal passed away October 8, 2021. He was born April 16, 1956 to Lawrence and Geraldine (Jones) Scornavacco in Chicago and married his sweetheart, Sally Bristol, on June 10, 1978.

Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years: Sally; son: Michael (Samantha) Scornavacco Jr.; granddaughter: Mallory Scornavacco; siblings: Jan Hayne, Linda Sayles, Laurie (Louis) Buffardi, Ellen (Thomas) Heinis; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents.

Michael was a proud family man, who loved to aggravate his wife and doted lovingly on his granddaughter, Mallory. She was his entire world. Michael was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan through and through. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, and eagle watching, and always thought things were “spiffy”. His family will deeply miss his enthusiasm and the wonderful man that filled their lives with joy and humor.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 4-7 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 15, 2021, with burial at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
