Mary A. Sloss, 98, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2023 at The Myerling. She was born March 8, 1925 in Medne, Czechoslovakia to John G. and Elizabeth (Potocny) Mednansky. Mary married the love of her life, William A. Sloss on August 1, 1948. After 48 years of marriage, William preceded her in passing on February 5, 1995.
Mary was a housewife for the majority of her life, keeping a tidy home and making sure her children were well cared for. She loved doing puzzles and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.
Surviving are her children Bill (Sue) Sloss of Normal, IL, Joyce Estelle of La Vista, NE; 2 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in passing by her parents, John G. Mednansky and Elizabeth Mednansky; and son-in-law, Joe Estelle.
Arrangements have been entrusted with East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Burial will be held at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.
