Marcia J. Stokes Ferguson

She was born December 5, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of Alice Leona Tracy Stokes. She married Bruce Ferguson on January 18, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN.

Surviving are her husband of Cooksville; one daughter, Tonya (Aaron) Anderson of Cooksville; two sons, Brian (Stephanie Warfel) Ferguson of Cooksville and David (Rachel) Reid of IN and six grandchildren, Dakota Young, Tyler Ferguson, Brendan Warfel, Brady Ferguson, Joshua and Conner Reid. Also surviving are two brothers, Tracy and Jerry Stokes, both of Indianapolis, IN.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Marcia worked as a waitress for many years at The Ground Round in Bloomington. She later co-owned and operated for 10 years, with her husband, White Glove Cleaning, Inc in Bloomington.

She loved home crafts, gardening and planting flowers. Other cherished past-times were “garage-saling,” camping and collecting rocks (Aaron ;) ).

Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
