Larry was born February 16, 1948, in Normal, IL to Russell Myers and Eleanor Mae (Berglund) Schroeder. He proudly served in in the United States Army during Vietnam. He loved to play cards, shoot pool, but most of all, he loved spending time at family gatherings and cookouts.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Schroeder of El Paso; his sister, Vickie (Daniel E) Embry of Normal; his step-mother, Mary Ann Schroeder of Bloomington; step-brother, Timothy (Kimi) Schroeder of Bloomington; two step-sisters, Cathy (Eugene) Dywer of Normal and Connie (Bill) Higgs of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-sister, Christine Higgs.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Larry will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
