She was born on December 2, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to Everett and Irene Marcum of Morgantown, WV.
Jan is survived by her husband, Thomas Corum, her daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Cyrus Livingston of Carlock, her two grandchildren, Freyja and Lorelei, a brother and sister, Steve Marcum of Texas and Carol Alvarado of New Mexico and her best friend, Duke Walden of Normal.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jan is a graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned her doctorate. She spent most of her life as a dedicated stay-at-home mother, and later worked as a professor at Illinois State University.
At her request, only a small, private memorial service for close family and friends will be held.
